The Galaxy S23 Ultra uses a 6.8″ QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate — a significantly larger and higher-spec panel than the standard S23 or S23+. Released in February 2023 under model number SM-S918B, common failure points include cracked front glass, dead pixels, screen burn-in on aging units, and touch unresponsiveness after drops. Note: the S23 Ultra has a built-in S Pen digitizer layer — unlike the standard S23/S23+ which don’t support S Pen at all — so screen replacement quality directly affects S Pen precision, not just touch response.

Screen Replacement Options & Colours

We stock Galaxy S23 Ultra screens in five colours — Black, Silver, Gold, Purple, and Green — across two display technologies. Our R943 tier uses a TFT LCD panel and does not support the in-display fingerprint sensor, making it a budget option best suited to clients who use a PIN or pattern unlock instead. Our R2,041+ tier uses a genuine OLED panel and retains full fingerprint sensor functionality, matching the original display technology. All assemblies include the digitizer and frame pre-installed.

How to Choose the Right S23 Ultra Screen

Fingerprint unlock is the deciding factor for most clients. If your customer relies on fingerprint unlock — as most S23 Ultra owners do — the R943 TFT LCD tier will disable that feature entirely; only the OLED tier (R2,041+) preserves it. For clients who don’t use fingerprint unlock, or repair jobs on a tight budget, the R943 tier is a reliable lower-cost option. Match the replacement colour to your device’s frame, not just the back cover — the bezel colour is visible around the edges once installed. This is a technician-recommended installation due to the curved-edge display and S Pen digitizer calibration — DIY is possible but riskier than on a flat-panel phone like the iPhone XR.
